A Tacoma woman who doesn't often purchase tickets won $2.2 million in Washington's Lottery Lotto game.
She purchased the ticket from the 72nd Deli Market in Tacoma.
"When my husband came home and shared the news with me, I had to get him to calm down," the winner said while claiming her winnings in Olympia.
She also said she only buys tickets once or twice a year and usually plays Lotto and Scratch.
She and her husband have already decided what to do with the winnings. They will pay of their mortgage, keep their job and save money for retirement. She also said they will donate to local non-profits.
In February, a Gig Harbor couple won $8.7 million, making this the second multi-million dollar win in three months.
Lottery proceeds help provide scholarships statewide for college students.
