NAMPA – One man is in jail after a shot was fired in a Nampa neighborhood Saturday.
It happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. when officers from the Nampa Police Department responded to a call of a man with a gun at an apartment complex in the 16000 block of N. Franklin.
Officers confronted a male subject who was later identified as Kevin Darrell Bodily, 41, of Caldwell.
When confronted by police, Bodily refused to comply with commands to stop and get on the ground. Bodily withdrew a handgun that he had concealed on his person. Officers were able to take Bodily to the ground and disarm him. It was then they found the second handgun that Bodily had concealed.
Police determined that Bodily had a business relationship with a female that resided in the apartment complex and that they had been having a disagreement over the phone. During this contact, Bodily made threats to come over with a gun. He advised the victim that police should be called.
He arrived at the apartment a short time later and confronted a friend of this female with the handgun. It was during this altercation that a shot was fired. Neither victim was injured in this incident.
Bodily was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, vandalism, phone harassment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and 1st degree stalking.
He is currently being held without bond in the Canyon County jail.
