SEATTLE - Mother Nature gave us an extra bonus for the first day of spring - extra warm temperatures. With the highs expected in the 60s Seattle may break a record high today. And people are prepared to enjoy every minute of it.

"I just finished finals, and this is the first time I've been able to get outside, I had no idea what I was missing," said student Andrew Thomas.

It's not just the temperature that's warming up, so's the economy. At Aurora Suzuki, Randy McAllister is preparing to sell a lot of motorcyles. After a dismal 2009, he's already seeing a 25 percent increase in business in 2010.

"People are in a buying mood now and the weather definitely helps bring them to the store," he said.

Over at Aurora Lawnmower, it's not fun, but work they are focusing on. Dozens of lawnmowers are getting spring service tune-ups. And on Saturday Warren Miller says " we expect a line out the door all day long."

On the lake itself, you'll find up to 1,000 rowers and boaters. It's the 48th annual Green Lake Spring Regatta. More than 30 teams from all over the West Coast, including Canada, will compete. Racing will go all day, with the last start at 5 p.m.

A full day to enjoy the warm temperatures and sun, and as well know all too well, best to enjoy it while we can.
