PORTLAND – A number of flights were delayed or canceled at Portland International Airport due to severe weather on the East Coast Friday.
On Friday morning, at least ten flights had been canceled as a large part of the country was consumed by snowy weather and high winds.
Travelers at Portland International complained of long lines and waits to reschedule flights.
Angela Mai and Phoebe Calipjo found out Thursday night their flight was canceled.
"The wait was forever. We had to call them three times," said one. "They gave us three options; you get a full refund and find another flight, which would have been more expensive, or fly standby."
The Federal Aviation Administration reported Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. that Newark and Philadelphia International Airports were experiencing delays of over three hours.
