MARYSVILLE, Wash. - Marysville Police are investigating a collision that left a 10-year-old Marysville girl in critical condition.

The vehicle struck the girl who was riding her bicycle in the 7900 block of 80th Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The girl apparently rode her bicycle between two parked vehicles into the path of the oncoming car. She was not wearing a bicycle helmet.

The girl suffered severe head injuries and was therefore airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Police do not believe that driving conditions, speed, drugs or alcohol played any role in this accident.
