OSO, Wash. – Friends and family told KING 5 Thursday 55-year-old Steve Neal died in Saturday’s massive landslide that devastated a small Washington community.
Neal was a husband father and grandfather. He was a plumber who took a service call to replace a water heater at Amanda Lennick’s home on East Steelhead Drive.
Neal, along with Lennick and other workers on the home who are still missing, was taken by surprise when a nearby hillside gave way and enveloped the home in a mere 3 seconds.
Lennick purchased the foreclosed property earlier in the month and didn’t have hot water.
