If you're a parent of a young girl, you probably know all about the "Frozen Frenzy." And now businesses are feeling the craze over the popular Disney movie.
Party supply stores are having a hard time keeping Frozen party decor in stock.
"We could get everything if it was in stock. But most of the companies that we order from are out of stock. They're out of everything. It's hard because we call and are trying to fill everyone's orders, but it's hard when the companies we go through just have nothing," said Erik Warren, assistant manager at Champion Party Supply in Seattle.
You can find items online and other ideas on Pinterest. That's what Lianna Neyens had to do when she started planning her 5-year-old daughter's birthday party.
"I think everyone between the ages of 3 and 6 are having a Frozen-themed party, so everything is gone, and I think if they have leftovers, they're holding on to it and selling it on EBay probably," said Neyens.
Neyens ended up having friends make an Elsa cake and Olaf cupcakes and hired a photographer who brought an open air photo booth where Elsa came to visit the guests and take a picture with them. Neyens owns Enchanting Princess Events, a company that offers Disney princess characters for hire.
After she saw the movie Frozen, she added Elsa to the staff. Starting June 1, Anna will be joining Elsa at birthday parties.
"I field probably 10-to-15 calls a week wanting to book these characters for their parties," said Neyens.
