SEATTLE – Animal Control confirms that two dogs that attacked a boy in the back yard of their Seattle home and were then returned to their owner were involved in another incident on Monday night.
A woman named Michelle says she was walking her dog "Pepsi" at the Brighton Playfield and the two dogs came out of nowhere and attacked Pepsi.
"We had no forewarning these dogs were coming," she said. "Both of the dogs were attacking my dog, I started screaming for somebody to help."
Michelle said the dogs fought for a couple of minutes and Pepsi was able to get away.
"They weren't fast enough to catch up to Pepsi so both of the dogs turned around and came after me," she said.
She said the dogs cornered her - one in front, one in back.
"I'd have to say it was probably one of the most frightening experiences I've ever had in my life," she said.
She said the owner of the mastiffs finally heard the commotion and were able to corral them and get them back into their own yard.
The owners had just gotten the dogs back over the weekend, two weeks after they and a third dog attacked a boy who had jumped into their yard to retrieve a ball.
The owners had given away one of the three dogs and they voluntarily surrendered the two remaining dogs to the city.
The city will decide the animals' fate. There is the potential that the dogs will be euthanized.
