baddcopnodonut... thank you for service. I am truly sorry for the loss of the 4 fallen officers. sara41- you really need to check yourself, today is not a day to mourn the loss of someones windows, and the fact they have to clean their house. Today is the day to mourn the lifes that have been taken from 9 children, husband, and wifes. You really need to step back and look at your perspective on life. Those things are replaceable. Who is going to replace the fathers and the mother that was lost. You can't replace that. My heart is sadden for you because you are so shallow that only material things matter to you. If you where to lose a brother, sister, husband, father, friend, or wife would you be saying the same thing... what about my windows... your a real piece of work to even state that... once again thank you to the police officers, miltary, and all of those protecting our great country... may god bless you and your families...

Sara41... When the cold day in hell comes that you have the courage and moral compass to even fathom doing what we as brothers and sisters of "The Thin Blue Line" do, then perhaps you will look back at how silly and worthless your comments really were. Everyday we wake and go to our jobs, many of us kissing husbands, wives and children, not knowing if it might be the last time we see them. Most important to us is the fact that we do it willingly and for millions of people we do not know and/or may never have the pleasure of meeting outside of doing our jobs. I close with this... It is your right to speak your thoughts as you have, no matter how horribly offensive I and the thousands of my brothers and sisters may find them. But rest your self to this.... Every one of us will defend, to our last dying breath if need be, your right to speak them and be safe in them. That Sara is what it means to have courage and a moral compass, something you know nothing about.

To our Brave Warriors' Families and their Friends, Our hearts go out to you and we pray for you. Since we have two warriors in our immediate family, we understand a little. They face danger everyday and for us all. May you be encouraged as there are so many that care and feel your pain.

One more thing--sometimes it is about the money. The Lakewood Police Independent Guild has set up a donation site for the deceased officers' families. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but am encouraging people to log onto http://www.lpig.us and donate to the officers' families. You know every little bit helps and this is part of the official Lakewood Police website.

I second that fckthis!! I do feel sorry for Crisceda Clemmons because of the damage done to her house. She did the right thing, bless her, because I know that had to be hard. It was unfortunate that her property was damaged, but law enforcement could not afford to take any chances when they entered her home. The Clemmons/Hinton families were both assisting Maurice Clemmons avoid being arrested; even to the point that they were phoning in false tips to keep investigators off his heels. For all the investigators knew, Mrs Clemmons could have been trying to set them up to be the next ones executed. I don't think college is going to be a concern for the children of the fallen officers. In case some people haven't noticed, our community is strongly behind our Lakewood Police Department and those families will be taken care of. BTW, it's not a get-together, it's a memorial service. Police agencies are attending to show support and dedication. Everything is not about money.

sara41 read your comments and check your priorities. you will never have an ounce of the courage it takes everyday to pin abadge on and deal with ignorant morons as yourself. most attending the funeral are doind so on their own time. your family would probably need to be paid to attend yours.

If college is a concern for the nine children why don't the police agencies across the United States donate to that rather than sending 20 or more officers to the Tacoma Dome get together? Why not send two rather than 20? Will Clemmons sister be getting all or part of the reward money? She did in fact call the police a month in advance and tell them about her brother, and call them after her brother called her and said he was coming to her house. The police totally and unnecessarily trashed her house, and every window in it. The police could see Clemmons wasn't under a coffee table or behind this or that but they still stepped on, broke, threw, and trashed the entire house and every window.

As a former police dispatcher, I offer my condolences to the families and co families (officers and dispatchers) that these kind souls worked with daily. We lost 1 officer during my time as a dispatcher and it was an undescribable pain. He is missed greatly. Take Care of each other and be there for each other. My heart goes out to each and every one of you that were touched by these officers. Mysti
