SNOHOMISH, Wash. (AP) -- The National Weather Service says the wind that caused minor damage Sunday at Lake Roesiger, near Snohomish, was not a tornado.

The Weather Service said Monday it was a straight line wind, estimated at 70-to-75 miles per hour.

The wind uprooted a couple of trees and blew limbs off others. It destroyed a playhouse and tore some siding off a house.

One week earlier, the Weather Service says a tornado estimated at the smallest-sized twister, touched down briefly at Eatonville. Winds estimated at 75 mph ripped off a carport roof, and knocked down a road sign.

Washington averages about two tornadoes a year.
