Janesah and Janeah Goheen were not only each others' harmony in song, but in life as well, and Saturday's memorial service was both a tearful and joyous reminder of what that harmony meant to others.
“Each of us is here today because we are part of their song,” said Christina Federighi, family friend
Those who paid remembrance ranged from best friends to the mayor of Oak Harbor to their old pastor who came from Montana to be there.
At the end of the service, parents Jim and Debbie, who five years ago also lost daughter Jessica in a car crash, thanked everyone for their support.
For 17 years the twins were inseparable, yet individual, and those who gathered found some small comfort that one wouldn't have to go on without the other.
A fund to help the Goheens is set up at Whidbey Island Bank branches. Additional information can be found at http://www.youcaring.com/help-a-neighbor/goheen-family-fund/106388
