Two decades after his death, Kurt Cobain is becoming a cartoon character.

Billboard announced Thursday that the Nirvana frontman will be the subject of a new comic book biography, courtesy of Bluewater Productions, which has previously paid homage to such living and late rock icons as Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards and Jim Morrison.

The book, part of Bluewater's Tribute series, has been written and illustrated by Jayfri Hashim, and is due April 2, on the 20th anniversary of Cobain's passing, in print and digital form.

Tribute: Kurt Cobain arrives just before another honor is bestowed on its subject's legendary band: Nirvana is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 10.
