2-year-old with incurable tumor gets his wish

Two-year-old Mason Tapia has an incurable brain tumor.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation said he was too young to grant a wish to but that that didn't stop some special people from making his wish come true.

Sunday afternoon, Mason just got home from the 'happiest place on earth.'

Short of a cure, Mason's mother said her wish for the whole family was to take a trip to Disney World.

A Special Wish Cleveland granted that wish. They spent several days at the park and came home to Geneva today.

WKYC was there as Mason and seven of his family members returned to Cleveland today from the once-in-a-lifetime trip.

A limousine awaited them at the airport to bring them back home to Geneva.

But that wasn't the biggest surprise.

Friends and family -- dubbed "Team Mason" --  lined the street to welcome Mason and his family home, showing them all of the love and support for this little boy here in Northeast Ohio.

Mason's mom says Mickey Mouse is his idol. Mason got a chance to meet Mickey face-to-face.

They visited several parks, including Epcot and Animal Kingdom. His mother told us it was nice to just relax and have a good time and not think about all the bad.

A GoFundMe page has been built to help raise more money for Mason and his family. DONATE HERE
