BORING, Ore. – The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said a county employee was shot and the case is being investigated as a homicide.
Dispatchers first said officer was down after a reported shooting near Boring, Ore. Thursday morning, but according to a tweet by the sheriff's office, the victim was a county employee.

Deputies were investigating reports of an injured person just after 11 a.m. Authorities closed the Highway 224 at Southeast Bakers Ferry Road and were setting up a staging area to give more details at the Barton Gas Station.
Deputies were searching for the suspect.
