BREMERTON, Wash. -- Bremerton police are investigating massive piles of stolen discovered in the woods.
More than 500 pieces of mail were found in a secluded wooded area Sunday afternoon.
Investigators say there are nearly 100 victims, some may not even know they have been targets.
The mail comes from multiple addresses in Mason, Kitsap and Pierce counties and the Gig Harbor area.
The mail includes bills, financial information, gift cards, packages and more.
Police investigators are working with the U.S. Postal Service to identify the persons responsible and try to notify the victims in the case.
Bremerton police caution people to watch their mail carefully and advice using the post office for outgoing mail instead of rural mail boxes.
