VANCOUVER -- The floor of a Vancouver warehouse collapsed under the weight of 400,000 pounds of lead blocks Tuesday afternoon, fire officials said.
Crews were callled to the report of an explosion just after 2 p.m. near West 11th Street and Lincoln Street, said Heidi Scarpelli of the Vancouver Fire Department.
The lead and the collapsed material landed on 1,000 gallons of rubbing alcohol below. Hazardous materials crews were cleaning up at the scene.
One minor injury was reported.
