District leaders alerted parents on Saturday, October 12th that Bonners Ferry High School would be a closed campus for all male students.
“Students must either bring their own lunch or purchase one from the school,” stated the email alert.
School officials stated that a recent bomb hoax prompted the change. Teachers evacuated Bonners Ferry H.S. on the prior Thursday due to the threat. The threat was found in the boys’ bathroom around 9:30 a.m.
Nothing was found and there were no reports of any injuries.
Students were evacuated for about two hours during the search. School resumed as normal after law enforcement gave the go ahead.
