North Plains, Ore. -- Neighbors spotted a pair of funnel clouds in Albany and North Plains. They didn't cause any damage.

Shortly after noon, witnesses reported a funnel cloud near North Plains. It dissipated within minutes. The other funnel cloud swirled over the Albany area.

Forecasters warn, despite the fact most funnels don't hit the ground, if they do, they can be dangerous.

In June, a tornado hit McMinnville tearing the roof off at least one building and damaging several others.

In December 2010, an EF2 tornado touched down in Aumsville destroying homes and causing serious damage to businesses and city hall.
