Amazon has tweaked the designs of its proposed Denny Triangle campus in downtown Seattle, which features three connected biospheres.

The most recent renderings still have three orbs made of glass, but they are sporting a new design that makes them into "Catalan spheres," as the planning documents call them. The spheres' new structure looks like a pattern of flowers or stars, in contrast to the old spheres' uniform pattern of diamond shapes.

GeekWire reported on the new sphere designs, noting that they look like structures from Star Trek.

Amazon's architects will present the latest plans to the city Design Review Board on Tuesday.

Each sphere will contain five floors and open spaces for mature trees and vegetation. The designs were first revealed in May.
