CHEWELAH, Wash. -- A family driving northbound along State Route 395 slammed into a moose near Roskam Road late Monday night.
Washington State Troopers were called to the scene of the crash. They said the 1995 Buick Lesabre was traveling north when it hit a moose in the roadway.
The crash south of Chewelah left six people injured. Troopers said the victims ranged from age nine to 46. Medics took two injured adults and three children to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Medstar flew the sixth victim, a 9-year-old boy, to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
