QUINCY, Wash.-- Dozens of people were rushed to the hospital over the weekend after attending the Paradiso Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheater.

On Monday, media experts for the Quincy Valley Medical Center said doctors saw 72 patients from the electronic music festival between Thursday and Sunday.  Experts said of those 72, between 40 and 50 patients were under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Seven of the patients had to be transported for further care at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.  Hospital authorities confirmed one of those patients died, though, there was no official cause of death.  As of Monday, three patients were still being treated in serious but stable condition at Central Washington Hospital.

Experts at Quincy Medical Center said a majority of the patients were under the influence of the drug commonly referred to as “Molly.”  It is a drug cocktail that can combine several different drugs including Ecstasy.  Experts said the variety of drugs can vary from hit to hit.  Hospital scans were unable to detect what drugs were included in these particular cases.
