VALE, Ore. -- Several fires started by lightning Monday have now grown into one, known as the Crowley Fire in Malheur County.
Bureau of Land Management Vale District says the fire has grown to over 15,000 acres, and crews only have 30 percent of the fire contained.
Dozens of firefighters are working to contain the fire by ground, along with air support with helicopters dumping water on the fire, as well as a large air tankers helping with retardant drops.
BLM says electrical transmission lines along Crowley Road could be damaged, however the power poles are still intact.
Officials also say the fire is threatening three ranches and numerous outbuildings in the area, but none have been damaged.
