PORTLAND -- A power outage at TriMet substations disrupted MAX service for about three hours Monday morning.

Trains were able to continue running throughout most of the suburbs, but were unable to complete the trip into the downtown core.

Service was restored about 9 a.m., but shuttle buses were still required between Old Town and the Rose Quarter across the Steel Bridge.

The outage also affected the Portland streetcar system for a short time.
