A man in a tree forced Sound Transit to cancel or delay northline Sounder commuter trains between Everett and Seattle Friday morning.

The incident happened near train tracks at 34th Avenue West and Gilman Avenue West in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood. Police believe the man was a suspect in a felony property damage call and were trying to talk him out of the tree.

It was not clear if the man was armed.

Two Sounder commuter trains that had already left Edmonds toward Seattle were stopped on the tracks. Passengers on other trains were transferred to buses at Edmonds.
