Coeur d'Alene chef wins online contest to start new restaurant

COEUR D'ALENE -- The Executive Chef at the Coeur d'Alene Resort and Casino won a national contest on Monday to help him open his dream restaurant.
A panel of judges announced Adam Hegsted as the winner after receiving the majority of online votes. They said they loved Hegsted's plan for a tapas restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients.
Hegsted won $20,000 to help open his restaurant.
