SPOKANE -- Spokane Police are asking law enforcement agencies across the northwest to look out for a murder suspect.

Officers consider 38-year-old Tony T. Callihan armed and dangerous. Police said he disappeared Friday after a woman he was dating was found dead in her home in West Central Spokane.

Lt. Joe Walker said he did not think Callihan would stop if police tried to pull him over.
The victim has not been identified yet, but she is described as a woman in her 40’s. Her body was found inside her home in the 2300 block of West Broadway.  Police have not released how she died, but they are investigating her death as homicide.

Callihan is believed to be driving a car owned by the homicide victim. It is a 2000 Dodge Stratus SE with chrome/wire wheels, sea foam green in color.  It has Washington plates with number 474WRH.

The suspect has a Dept. of Corrections Escape warrant.  Callihan was convicted of 10 felonies since 1992, including 2nd Degree Assault and burglaries.

Detectives are also investigating a second homicide discovered the same day in the same neighborhood, although authorities said they do not appear to be related.

Police identified the victim as 28-year-old David “Brandon” Deponte. His body was found in an alley near Bridge and Cannon. An autopsy conducted Monday indicated Deponte died from multiple gunshots wound to the head. His was found shortly after 9:00 a.m. Friday, which is listed as his time of death.

Investigators spent the weekend interviewing acquaintances in an effort to retrace Deponte’s final hours, but they still have not identified a suspect. They are asking anyone with information on either murder to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
