In Central Oregon, Mt. Bachelor planned to be open Thanksgiving Day.

KGW Meteorologist Nick Allard said to expect 6-12 inches at around 4,500 feet and above. On Wednesday, there could be up to a foot with the snow level around 3,000 feet.

The ski resorts on Mount Hood have managed to get enough snow to open before Thanksgiving every year since 2008, when Timberline did not open until December 20. But it turned out to be a good year for skiers and snowboarders after the slow start.

By Thanksgiving last year, Mt. Hood Meadows had a 37-inch base and Timberline had a 54-inch base.
