An Amber Alert has been canceled after a 3-year-old boy abducted by his father in British Columbia was found safe in Montana Friday. The father is in custody.
The alert was issued after 3-year-old Alvin Barnett was abducted by his father in Elk Valley, British Columbia. Authorities believed the child was in "imminent danger."
Authorities say the boy's father, identified as 39-year-old Robert Barnett, was seen crossing the Canadian border at Eureka, Montana Thursday afternoon.
Robert Barnett was on a supervised visit at a hotel in Fernie, B.C. when he managed to abduct his son.
The two were found in Whitefish, MT, about two hours south of Fernie.
