A man who was shot in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood early Monday ran a block before he collapsed on the street corner, according to officers.
Seattle Police said the man was shot near 2nd Avenue and Bell Street around 3:00 a.m. when he and the suspect got into a fight.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and then saw the victim try to get away.
"The guy that had been shot was limping!" said one woman who lives near the scene.
"I don't know how he walked," said another man who saw the victim at 1st and Bell after he had been shot.
The victim, a man in his 50's, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
There have been no arrests yet and there is not enough information yet to release a suspect description.
