BOISE -- Around 8 a.m. on Friday Boise police and firefighters responded to a report of a pickup that had crashed into the side of a home near 8th Street N. and 15th Avenue.
Police tell KTVB that the pickup's driver apparently side-swiped a moving vehicle, lost control, and ended up driving into the side of the single-family home while the family was inside.
The truck also smashed through the home's wooden fence, left a dent in the home's siding, and damaged an air-conditioning unit.
Neither the pickup's driver, nor the home's occupants were injured.
Homeowner Nolan Letellier told KTVB that the crash definitely caught his family off-guard.
"We were standing around in our living room talking, then we heard the sound of an accident -- you know a crash and squeals -- then next thing you know, our house shook," Lettelier said.
Police wouldn't comment on the cause of the crash. However, the driver -- who is an older man -- was seen taking a field sobriety test administered by officers. Afterwards, the same man was seen sitting in the back of a police car.
KTVB will update this story as more information becomes available.
