SEATTLE -- Two people were shot and wounded in the Rainier Valley neighborhood Tuesday evening.
The shooting happened near 9400 Rainier Avenue South around 8:00 p.m. Seattle Police say the two victims were shot in the parking lot of Maya's Restaurant. The extent of their injuries is not known.
As of late Tuesday night, it wasn't known how many suspects police were looking for, but the shooters were still on the loose.
Police and detectives from the gang unit are on scene investigating.
This is one of several shootings that have taken place along Rainier Avenue South this year. Earlier this month, Seattle Police decided to dedicate additional officers to the neighborhood in an effort to curb violent crimes.
