PULLMAN -- Washington State University will officially announce Mike Leach as its new head football coach at a press conference on Tuesday in Pullman.
Leach arrived in Pullman just after 8 a.m. Tuesday.
“I’m thrilled to death,” Leach said moments after stepping off the plane. "It's great to be here in the Northwest and in Pullman."
He'll meet with his new team, and then Leach is scheduled to sit down with the university President Elson Floyd and Athletic Director Bill Moos at 11:30 a.m.
After that, Leach will then officially be introduced as the new head coach at a press conference at noon. The press conference will be streamed live on KING5.com and NWCN.com.
After the press conference, Leach will board a flight for Seattle around 4:15 p.m and is scheduled to meet the media on the other side of the state at 6:30 p.m.
Leach has been relatively quiet since he was hired last week, but he did send out a tweet saying he is putting together his staff and that he cannot wait to coach the Cougars and meet their fans.
