A mystery is finally solved for numerous customers looking for their pianos after a consignment store closes its doors.

This all started when one of the customers couldn't get answers on her own and decided to Get Jesse.

On April 29, we told you about the failed piano shop business. The owners didn't want to tell KING 5 what happened to the missing pianos, but the answers were found in bankruptcy court.

Mark and Marci Bagley didn't say a word to our KING 5 cameras after they left their bankruptcy hearing. It was there where people like Myles Milner learned that all of the pianos consigned to the Bagley's shop, Second Hand Pianos, are gone forever.

"Our piano is in Arkansas and we're flat broke," he said.

You may remember Gayle Birrell. She consigned her baby grand to be refurbished and sold, which would have earned her $1,100. After Second Hand Pianos stopped returning her phone calls, she feared the worst.

"It was a horrible sinking feeling like, oh my god, what has happened?" said Gayle.

KING 5 tried to catch up with the Bagleys, but they refused to answer our questions about Gayle's missing piano.

Jesse Jones: "Have you called her to tell her what had happened to the piano?"

"It is none of your business," was the response.

But under oath in federal court, Gayle and Myles got their chance to ask the Bagleys the same question. Unfortunately it wasn't what they wanted to hear.

"They say they've sold and my best hope is that it's with a family who loves that piano as much as we did," said Gayle.

"It's just a sad situation," said Myles.

This is not exactly the ending we were hoping for, but for many of these people not to know was the hardest part. Still, we don't know if any of them will see any money.

The Bagleys said they'll try to pay them back.

The lessons here: Check out at least three shops if you are going to consign something valuable, like a piano. Secondly, go with your gut - these piano owners had a feeling things weren't right months before the bankruptcy. If you think something is wrong, stop by the business. And finally, keep good records. It will help if you end up in court.
