It's a girl!  Seattle's newest furry resident was born three weeks ago at the Seattle Aquarium and is doing incredibly well. This is the second pup born to mother Aniak, who herself was born at the aquarium. The yet-to-be named pup is learning how to swim and eat solid foods and currently weighs 8.2 pounds (she has more than doubled her birth weight in three weeks).

Today KING 5's Christie Johnson announced an otter naming contest on King 5 Morning News to give the public a vote in what the pup is called.  The choices are:

1. Willapa

2. Shi Shi

3. Elwha

4. Sequim

5. Seiku

Go to www.seattleaquarium.org to vote. Voting closes on Feb. 24.  The Seattle Aquarium website has 24 hour "Otter Cams" where you can view the pup eating, grooming, swimming, and so much more around the clock.
