ROY, Wash. - Mini horses and goats rescued in an Eatonville animal raid back in June have all been adopted and will soon go to new homes.

Pierce County Animal Control officers seized 18 horses and ponies, as well as dozens of dogs from a home. They say the animals were living in "horrendous" conditions.

Kathy Richardson of Rusty Bar Ranch says several goats and all of the miniature horses were adopted on Saturday.

"As soon as site visits have been conducted and the rest of the veterinary care has been completed these animals will all go to their new homes," said Richardson.

Richardson said two full-size horses, Nadia and Solar, still need homes.

She said she is still taking back-up applications for adoption, in case something doesn't work out. For information call 253-843-2455.
