SPOKANE-- One llama was killed and another injured after two dogs attacked them Monday morning in Spokane.
Two joggers running by a Glenrose home off 29th Ave saw dogs in a field next to two injured llamas.
The owner, Marilyn, says she knows her llama Harley put up a fight because pieces of wool scattered the ground. Harley didn't survive the attack.
Marilyn's other llama, Silver Dust has injuries to the face, ears, and neck but should recover. She's keeping the animal in her barn for now.
Marilyn is still processing the attack but hopes more information comes out about exactly what happened.
Two dogs were discovered this morning, but they live far from Marilyn's home. One of the dogs went back with its owner while the other is with SCRAPS.
SCRAPS staff wants to remind the public of the county law requiring a leash when a dog is off your own property.
The owner and scraps are looking for the two witnesses that first saw the attack.
