There are dozens of local pet-related nonprofits that will benefit from “GiveBIG” Tuesday.

The Seattle Foundation organized the online campaign to raise money for more than 1,600 local nonprofits. The GiveBIG fundraiser kicked off at midnight.

A portion of the donations will be matched and given to the nonprofits.

Seattle Humane Society says it costs $33 to rescue a pet from another shelter that has limited resources. As of 10 a.m., they had raised nearly $12,000, which will help them save 363 pets.

Last year, The Seattle Foundation raised $11.1 million for nonprofits. The donation website has a list of the nonprofits involved in the fundraiser, which ends at midnight.
