Image is everything when you’re a teenage girl.  At least you think it is.  Every day we’re bombarded with images of impossible beauty in magazines ads.  It’s enough to make some girls feel inadequate. In this week’s Northwest Families, we introduce you to a teenager who’s pushing the magazines to print realistic photos of young women.  Watch the video above to see how she’s encouraging girls her age to decide what beauty really is. We also examine how parents sometimes feed into our teen’s poor self-esteem.

Tune in to Northwest Families Wednesday mornings during the 10 a.m show and Thursday mornings during the 8 a.m. show on NWCN. You can also check us out on Facebook .
