Paying For College

Remember the optimism you felt graduating from high school or college?  You were excited and ready to start your career.  For recent grads that optimism is overshadowed by a down economy that's made it tough for them to find a job to make ends meet.  Meanwhile, the thousands of dollars in student loans that recent college grads owe are coming due.  In this week's segment, Money Coach Clark Howard has some advice on how to juggle your loan payments if you're jobless.

And in these tough times it's better to find free money for college.  The Washington Scholarship Board has a free service that links students with scholarships based on their interests.  Check out their website to find a scholarship that's right for your student.

You can watch Northwest Families at our new time on Wednesday's at 2 p.m. and Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. on Northwest Cable News.
