This week 170 Joint Base Lewis-McChord troops and their comrades around the country returned home from duty in Iraq for the last time. Families are eager to welcome home some fifty thousand American troops withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan by the end of this year.  But many of those families will face dramatic and unexpected changes in their daily lives as they become caregivers to veterans recovering from serious injuries and mental health problems.

Sharon Brothers, a social worker and vice president of the Caregiver Village Support website offers some advice and resources to help families deal with the stress. Click on the picture to watch the interview!
