Georgetown Music March
The monthly Georgetown Art Attack has a fresh beat on Saturday, when 20 bands set up to play in "unlikely locations," according to organizers. Among the musical guests: Rat City Brass, Spirograph, Steve Kim, Andre Feriante and many others. It's free, from 5-9 p.m.

50th anniversary of the monorail
The Seattle Monorail celebrates its 50th birthday on Saturday. One train will be parked at Seattle Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a display of historic photos onboard, plus musical tributes to Elvis, prize drawings and light snacks. Also: If you show up with a photo of yourself as a child riding the Monorail, or an old ticket stub from 1962-2010, you get a free ride.

You'll find cooking demos, health checks, cookbooks, recipes and more than 500 free samples for the vegetabley inclined at this annual fair at Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, Saturday and Sunday. Adult admission is $8. Kids are free.
