Dog show competition held in Boise

BOISE There is big dog show being held in Boise over the next four days.

The Treasure Valley Dog Shows is holding a competition at Expo Idaho, and about 140 different breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club are participating.

The dogs will be competing in conformation, obedience, rally and agility training.

Ron Menaker is chairman of the board for the American Kennel Club. He says this a great opportunity for people to learn about dogs and see them compete. You can then decide whether or not you agree with the judges decisions.

The event starts at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. It continues through Sunday.

Admission is $5 for spectators or $10 per family. Parking is free.
