Furneys
Furney's Nursery is located in Des Moines, Wash., near the intersection of 216th and Pacific Highway South.
This week we visit Furneys Nursery in Des Moines to prove a point - late summer and early fall are prime time for buying plants. Nurseries are full, and conditions are perfect for new plants to establish themselves.
Do your containers dry out too quickly? We're trying a new product that says it'll keep them moist, and save water as well.
We also visit a landscape with 24 colossal containers, and get tips from a pro on how to maintain large planters.
Our plant of the week is a daisy. But not just any daisy -- this one's a shaggy variety called "Gold Rush." Ciscoe will show you why it's special.
Zeba (not Zebra) Quench is the name of that product that keeps containers moist. We found some at Furneys -- check with your local nursery as well.
Those large containers were done by the Highridge Corporation, 1800 273-3682 or www.highridge.com

Our plant of the week was a Leucanthemum "Gold Rush," aka Shasta Daisy . Get them at McLendon Hardware, 1-877-505-1502 www.mclendons.com
