Cool and showery weather continues across the Northwest, with possible thunderstorms around the region today.
Cool low pressure will drift southward over Washington and then Oregon during the day, helping to spawn more showers. There is also a chance for some afternoon thunderstorms along with small hail or ice pellets.
Snow levels will continue near pass levels in the Cascades. Although snow amounts on the roadways over the passes will be light, several inches are possible at higher elevations near the ski resorts.
As the low tracks southeast, we'll see the sun return on Friday and Saturday along with a rebound in temperatures. There is a chance for a few showers in western Washington and northwest Oregon Sunday and Monday, but much of the region looks dry for the holiday weekend.
