NAMPA -- A missing 2-year-old Nampa girl and her mother are believed to be in New Mexico, according to authorities.
The Nampa Police Department issued an AMBER Alert shortly after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for Catelyn Sandoval. That alert was canceled Wednesday morning for Idaho and Nevada, but is still active for New Mexico.
The Nampa Police Department still encourages people in Idaho to be on alert, as the two may come back to the state.
Catelyn, a two-year-old Native American girl, went missing from 305 Holly Street in Nampa. She is about 3-feet tall, weighs 35 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair, brown eyes and a bump on her forehead. She was last seen wearing a green sun dress.
Authorities believe she is with her 26-year-old mother Georgina Sandoval, who doesn't have custody. Georgina Sandoval is described as a Native American female, 5-foot-7, weighing 170 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
According to Nampa Police the mother is a known drug user and has made suicidal threats to Catelyn's father.
A bald male, also of Native American descent, wearing a white t-shirt may be with them.
Police have received reports that the group was spotted in Farmington, New Mexico, where Georgina has family.
They may be traveling in a newer model Chevy Cobalt with unknown license plates.
Nampa Police has been working with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Farmington Police Department in an attempt to locate the missing girl.
Nampa Police are also working the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office to obtain an arrest warrant for Georgina Sandoval on a charge of parental kidnapping.
