Tracy Morgan as the 'Danish girl' deserves an Oscar

Some great actors, writers and directors will be honored during the 88th Academy Awards. But Tracy Morgan as “The Danish Girl” may just be the winner.

Morgan’s appearance -- complete with a gown and clogs -- came during a sketch poking fun at lead roles in Oscar-nominated films featuring only white people.

It also included Whoopi Goldberg has a janitor in “Joy,” Leslie Jones as the bear in “The Revenant” and Chris Rock in Matt Damon’s role as “The Martian.”

Morgan stole the bit, though.

“I’m the Danish girl!” Morgan said, before taking a bite of a danish pastry. “These danishes is good, girl!”

It was just under 30 seconds of high-quality television… Can we put in a last-second nomination for Best Live Action Short Film?
