Former Seahawk & Green Beret Nate Boyer back in Seattle to salute Military 12s

Former Green Beret and Seattle Seahawk Nate Boyer chattled with Margaret about military service, football, and why he's back in Seattle today.

Former Green Beret and Bronze Star recipient Nate Boyer inspired fans all over; first, by walking on to the University of Texas football team to become their starting long snapper, pausing twice to deploy to Afghanistan with the Special Forces. Then, he walked onto the Seahawks last season, playing in one memorable pre-season game.

Most recently, Nate reached out to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to find some common ground over the national anthem controversy, forging a friendship in the process.

Nate's back in Seattle to help celebrate Military 12s during a special Change of Command ceremony at CenturyLink Field at Noon today, when last season's Honored Military Unit, Marine Security Forces Battalion- Bangor, hands off care of the Twelve flag to Navy Region Northwest. The event is sponsored by USAA and the Seahawks. Keep up with them at
