Surrounded by glitter, gems and Scrabble tiles, Claudia Villalobos shares the spirit of the 12s.
“I love the Seahawks. I am definitely a fan. It’s a way to show my support,” said Villalobos.
In the basement of her Lakeridge neighborhood home, Villalobos transforms unwanted game pieces into earrings for fans wanting to up their fashion game.
“It's more of a feminine way to share your spirit, you can't wear a jersey all the time,” she said. “It's like a two-in-one combination. People love Scrabble and people love Seahawks.”
Villalobos’ specialty is designing invitations, customizing decorations and planning parties. But, when it's football season, the mother of two keeps busy hand-crafting jewelry.
“You definitely have to have steady hands, and patience,” she said.
It takes two days to complete every pair of earrings. They come in five different designs and sell for $12 in honor of the 12th Man. You can find "Claudia V Designs" on Etsy.
