The photo is of Robert Sandbo, also known as Grampa Bob, who was in the US Navy in the early 1940s. During his life, he has not only served his country, but he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. After the service, he went on to be a long time employee of Boeing Company, raising 5 sons and being active in the community in Bellevue, Washington. An avid gardner, even today, he remains living in the house where he raised his sons with his wife Patricia Sandbo, both of whom were honored by the City of Bellevue in 2000 as Creative Community Leaders. They are a couple of spitfires and we love them.
