Rachel Scott had a vision. A vision that could change the world. The first student to be killed in the Columbine shooting longed for a world that was filled with kindness.
In the wake of her death, the high school student's family started "Rachel's Challenge." The mission of this challenge is to inspire and empower every person to create a positive and permanent change through a chain reaction of kindness.
"One positive action can snowball into an avalanche of kindness," said Mackenzie, a North Middle School student.
Students and staff at North Middle School in Everett have accepted this challenge, and work every day to make their school climate a positive and kind place to be.
"A lot of kids are just respecting each other more, and especially respecting themselves," said Megan, a student at North Middle School.
Rachel's Challenge has touched the lives of more than 15 million students around the world.
